It is drought tolerant and works great as a sprawling groundcover or cascading over a ledge. Cape Gold Helichrysum splendidum is a shrub with silver-grey foliage and a mass of golden everlasting flowers in mid-summer. Cape gold makes a good plant for a hot, dry garden. ‘Golden Milkboy’ ‘Golden Milkboy’ is one of the brightest of the English hollies, with variegation of the majority of the leaf surface. It is a large shrub with glossy spiny leaves with dark green margins with yellow center, and gray bark. ‘Sweetness’ Narcissus ‘Sweetness’ is a mid-season bloomer with fragrant, yellow flowers. All yellow with reasonably fine and narrow foliage, this is an easy grower in any sunny situation. Red Elderberry Sambucus racemosa ‘Plumosa Aurea’ is a small, quick-growing tree or shrub with deeply cut, golden leaves turning tinged red in autumn. Black-Eyed Susan Black-eyed Susan is a half-hardy climber with bright orange or yellow flowers. If grown as a perennial, protect pots in winter. Spring Gift The ‘Yellow Present’ parrot tulip has creamy yellow flowers that bloom in mid-spring. Gold and Bold Heleniums are bold, impressive and flower over a long period in late summer. ‘Sonnenwunder’ produces bright yellow blooms with yellow, cone-like centers. Lemon Balm Melissa officinalis ‘Aurea’, yellow lemon balm, is a bushy perennial with golden, lemon scented leaves and creamy white or pale purple flowers that appear during the summer. Jerusalem Sage Jerusalem sage has gray-green leaves that are aromatic when rubbed. It bears yellow flowers in the summer and attractive seedheads in the fall. Yellow Azalea Also known as the honeysuckle azalea, rhododendron luteum is a very highly-scented deciduous azalea with a glorious show of canary-yellow blooms. ‘Emerald ‘n’ Gold’ Euonymus fortunei ‘Emerald ‘n’ Gold’ is primarily a low-growing, erect- to semi-erect shrubby form with a dense mat. This is an evergreen rosette-forming perennial with double yellow flowers and sage-green leaves. Yellow Winter Aconite Aconites grow from small, knobby tubers. The winter aconite produces bright yellow flowers in late winter and early spring.
