We’re always looking for new gardens for our “potathons”.  A crew of experienced master gardeners, guided by a member of the plant sale committee, would come to your garden and help you dig and divide your selected plants.  If you wonder if you have enough plants to merit a potathon, call or email Patty Witt, or if you have other questions, don’t hesitate to call or email any member of the Plant Sale Committee listed below.  We’d love to make a field trip to your garden.

The Spring Garden Fair has been held the weekend before Mother’s Day since 1984. What began as a small fuchsia sale has grown to one of the Northwest’s most anticipated springtime events. Our vendors include the Pacific Northwest’s favorite growers, artists and specialty vendors. With perennial favorites like 10 Minute University™, Free pH Soil Testing and Ask an O.S.U. Master Gardener, it’s well worth the drive out to Canby for our two day event!

Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted methods of payment. Boxes are available, but it’s a good idea to bring a cart or wagon if you plant to buy a lot of plants.

Jumping Worms are a big concern for SEWMG this year as we don’t want to spread them throughout our counties.  Therefore, anyone bringing plants to a potathon location must have them bare root.  Absolutely NO SOIL, so please wash them off and deliver in plastic bags with your name and the name of the plant.

Garden Fair Raffle: One of our most popular features each year, the Raffle is a wonderful way to add to your plant collection. Donations come from several of our vendors and area merchants. (Many thanks to all who donate!) And the proceeds add to our ability to support our local OSU Extension and other community projects. Look for volunteers wearing their yellow and green aprons, walking around selling tickets, inside 4-H Hall or in the raffle area between row L and M.
